Chemistry

Chemistry is the fundamental understanding of the composition of our world. This includes the chemistry of matter from atoms to elements and compounds and various materials and substances.

Students also learn how to work scientifically by recall methods and form a hypothesis based on theory.

Students will also learn the characteristics and properties of elements and various compounds and how these compounds are formed. This includes the reactivity of certain substances and the formulations.

KS3 is the foundation years of chemistry where students learn the foundation of working scientifically and the foundation of key facts. KS4 deepens the learning of Chemistry by gathering key facts, developing scientific thinking, developing experimental skills, and analysing and processing data.
