KS4 - Year 9, 10 & 11

Key Stage Four Science for most schools start in year 9 and end in terminal exams in year 11. This is an exciting stage where students are deepening their understanding to science and relate some of this knowledge to the natural world around us. Science GCSE is a core topic and is taught to all students. However, this is a very important time as students can crucially choose a double or triple award on a foundation or higher science GCSE paper.

Science is interesting and fun but it can also be a tough topic. We appreciate that some students will aim to have careers in science whereas others want good enough grades to get to the next stage in life. We have multifaceted talented teacher with different pedagogic teaching techniques rooted in research to help you learn in the most efficient way. We facilitate active learning, which means teachers create an environment, structure and activities around the curricula and key knowledge that aids students’ memories key science facts and then apply this to exam questions.

Deep learning takes hard work but that doesn’t mean we cant have fun while doing it. Students will learn key knowledge followed by learning how to apply this to exam questions which ultimately how they will be assessed in year 11. Whatever your aim is in life, we will always try to achieve your grades by making science fun, achievable and accessible.
