Online Lessons

Online Lessons are the most economical service provided at Bump your Grade. These are delivered over Microsoft Teams and will last one hour, or multiple thereof (for double lessons etc). There is no postcode or area restriction on these lessons. Microsoft Teams is also used as a collaboration space where the student can obtain any relevant downloads such as worksheets and lessons plans provided by the teacher.

Home Schooling

The home-schooling program is designed for students who are currently not attending school. (Please see In-Person lessons (below) for students currently attending school) These lessons are delivered in person and will generally have a minimum 3+ lessons per week. A full achievement plan will be put in place in conjunction with parents and/or teachers (if applicable). Microsoft Teams is also used as a collaboration space where the student can obtain any relevant downloads such as worksheets and lessons plans provided by the teacher. This service is only based in the following areas;

These differ from home schooling (please see above). A roadmap will be put in place to ensure key milestones are achieved throughout the tuition. A Double Lesson plan (2 back-to-back lessons) may be required dependant on location to keep costs down. Microsoft Teams is also used as a collaboration space where the student can obtain any relevant downloads such as worksheets and lessons plans provided by the teacher. This service is based in the following areas;

Putney, Richmond, Wandsworth, Fulham, East Sheen, Barnes, Wimbledon, Castelnau, Hammersmith, Chiswick, Kingston, Teddington, Twickenham, Ham, and surrounding areas

Books & Reading

The tutor will provide a list of recommended books / information sources based on the curricular and exam board the student is following (e.g. AQA/iGCSE). It is recommended that the student gets these books as soon as possible to the start of the tuition. On occasion Bump Your Grade may have these available at no cost through our ‘Book Rehoming’ Scheme (see below)

Book Rehoming Scheme

Bump Your Grade is an environmentally conscious company and want to ensure we are as green as possible. One of the projects we champion is the rehoming of student books. We ask all students who have just completed their GCSEs to consider donating their books to us. This means we can pass these on free of charge to someone who could benefit from the books. All we ask that these are continuously returned to keep the scheme going. Think of it as a long term library.

Student / Parent / Teacher Illness

In light of the current post pandemic environment and for general safety we reserve the right to move any in-person or home schooling lesson to online ( as a temporary measure). Teachers at Bump Your Grade may visit vulnerable households and it is important to report any signs of illness at the first possible opportunity.

Covid Rules

For in person & home-schooling lessons the teachers are always happy to be accommodating to your household rules in terms of the wearing of masks, hand sanitiser etc. Please discuss this with us prior to the lesson.
