Bump Your Grade is a Southwest London based GCSE Science tuition educational service offering both in-person & online lessons with a difference.
We operate in-person lessons in Putney, Richmond, Wandsworth, Fulham, East Sheen, Barnes, Wimbledon, Castelnau, Hammersmith, Chiswick, Kingston, Teddington, Twickenham, Ham, and surrounding areas. We also offer online lessons throughout the UK and internationally.
We offer bespoke education management and support for science students currently progressing through KS3 & KS4 of their GCSEs. We tailor programs for online lessons, classroom lessons, exam preparation and home-schooling. The plans can be adapted to allow underperforming students to increase their confidence or support high-achieving students to deliver top grades.
Bump Your Grade has been born out of a growing need for supplementary education. Since the start of the pandemic many children of all levels have fallen behind both educationally and in general confidence in day-to-day interactions. We aim to treat all students as individuals and instil confidence to maximize their potential.
Classes are taught by Miss Jaenette Roslund, who is the Head Teacher & Director. Jaenette has a wealth of experience teaching KS3/KS4 GCSE science in numerous high-performing schools both comprehensive and private. These include Bolingbroke Wandsworth & Radnor House Twickenham respectively. Jaenette is a fully qualified teacher holding both QTS & PGCE qualifications and is fully DBS checked.
Firstly, it’s important to tell you why we are called ‘Bump Your Grade’. We simply do what we say on the tin. We ‘Bump’ GCSE exam result grades through our tailored teaching approach. We have a solid track record of getting high performing students from 6’s & 7’s to 8’s & 9’s on higher paper. We also get students from 2’s & 3’s to a 5 on foundation paper.
Our Head Teacher Jaenette has spent years planning and perfecting the ideal learning program at some of the top schools in London to get the best out of each student. We take a holistic approach to learning and facilitate a positive and supportive environment. This is to help the student to learn facts and apply this information to exam questions.
A student path with bump your grade starts with discussing the individual’s academic starting point and goals with the student and parents to understand result they wish to achieve.
Once a tailored plan is created and agreed, we will recommend a lesson frequency based on exam dates and other deliverable milestones to achieve the agreed goal. For some students this is straight 9’s on the higher paper or separate science papers and for others this is achieving the top mark (5) on the foundation paper.
Jaenette has vast experience and has successfully worked with many types of students both in-school and as a private tutor. She has also achieved great progress with ADHD, Dyslexia and other SEN (Special Educational Needs) students by tailoring the sessions to the student.
